We had to buy a new compressor a few months after we got the E4D. This was mainly due to the fact that we have the Ergo Smooth chairs and our compressor was not strong enough to run the chairs, handpieces, and E4D at full capacity all at the same time. Hope this helps!

I have had CEREC since 3D, and consistently upgraded. Unhappy with current software and change to disallow secondary computer install (fully closed system). Want to buy another system, but want open system. Also want to do precise full arches and 3D print / mill for other purposes. Planning on 3Shape, but would consider the E4D…

Hello Alfdoc, The E4D is an open system, meaning that yes, you can import/export .STL files. Regards, Alex
