I don’t know a ton, haven’t had a chance to see it yet.  What I’m hearing though is it’s 3 lasers (red, blue and green), way lighter and smaller than planscan, speed in the ballpark of trios, USB 3 connection, native color.  Still has removable autoclavable tips, anti fog.  Hope to get a chance to play with it pretty soon!

I thought it would be much smaller compared to the Planscan. With the 3 colour laser, doesn’t the current colour scanning tip already do that?
Speed-wise, I think the Insane Mode on the Trios is still faster

Is this being released to the US market or is it just overseas for now?

What I’ve seen is it will ship in the 3rd quarter.

Can’t wait to try this! If Wally’s video is accurate, it’s hard to believe.

To find out what your upgrade price will be go to this link:

    e4dloyalty.com

The field asking for JDE number is your Schein customer number.  They will give you your cost based on how long you’ve had your system.  They are bundling 5 years of total care in with the new scanner so that’s part of the fee, for 5 years the scanner warranty is around $7,600 which we all are paying now, won’t have that if you do the upgrade.  Pretty fair IMHO, includes a new laptop as well.
